Climbing is useful for children of any age, because children's rock climbing is one of the few sports which harmoniously develops all muscle groups. Also this sport will help your child to develop analytical skills and teach him/her to be creative in tasks requiring abstract thinking, and the variety of motor skills and constant solution of new situational tasks will not allow getting bored during the training.
Children between 4 and 6 years old learn new knowledge as they play, so the climbing lessons for young in the rock climbing section for children take place in the form of a game. Fun rock climbing quests and games turn a training session into a children's rock climbing holiday, exciting and fun!
It is very important to keep in mind that at this age the muscles grow very fast, but unevenly. To achieve results in rock climbing training for preschool children it is necessary to dose the load, and that is why classes in the group last no more than an hour.
At this age children can already master specific technical tricks, get acquainted with different climbing disciplines (difficulty, bouldering, speed). Also children of 7-9 years old have much more developed coordination than preschool children, that is why learning new kinds of movements is successful and brings children sincere joy and pleasure.
Junior age is characterized by strengthening of muscular system of a child, by growth of physical endurance and capacity for work, therefore duration of training in comparison with groups of preschool age increases from 1 hour to 1.5 hours, and for children of 2-3 years it even reaches 2.5 hours.
At this age, complex movements are learned and perfected quite quickly. It should be noted that if at this age no attention is paid to the development of dexterity, plasticity and beauty of movement, then later it will be more difficult to develop these qualities, and awkwardness and angularity of movements, inherent in adolescents, can remain for life.
Load for children of this age in training is given gradually, despite the rapidly increasing results. The body of adolescents undergo great physiological changes and immediately responds to the training effects of adaptive changes, as in girls and boys, which causes increased fatigue.
About climbing
Rock climbing has been known for a long time. People living in mountainous areas have been fond of this sport since the 19th century. Saxon Switzerland and the Zittau mountains in Germany, the Tyrolean Alps in Austria, the Krasnoyarsk Pillars in Russia, the peaks of Scotland and Ireland challenged climbers to overcome difficult obstacles.
Originally climbing was part of mountaineering, but later it became a separate discipline, and now it is a sport which regularly holds international competitions.
Rock climbing - as the name reads - is climbing on natural or artificial terrain. You can climb a wall that simulates the slope of a mountain (with ledges, hollows, and hitches) or you can climb real rocks - both are fascinating.
Rock climbing develops thinking, strength, endurance, agility and flexibility. Climbers align the posture, straighten shoulders, increase joint flexibility, improve coordination of hands and feet. And one more important point - those who are engaged in this sport learn to overcome themselves and obstacles, their psyche becomes more stable.
